Terms of Engagement

Bridgepoint Services (BPS)

These Terms of Engagement govern the provision of services by Bridgepoint Services (BPS) (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the client (“you”, “your”). By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or entering into an agreement with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Who We Are

Bridgepoint Services (BPS) is an independent UK-based company providing research and administrative support in relation to dormant or unclaimed bank, insurance, and pension assets.

We are not a bank, insurer, pension provider, government body, or financial institution.

2. What We Do

We provide the following services:

  • Asset Search & Trace

  • Claim Pack Preparation

  • Submission Guidance (Client Submits)

Our services are limited to research and administrative support only.

We do not:

  • Hold, receive, control, or distribute client funds

  • Act as a fiduciary, financial adviser, or legal representative

  • Guarantee that assets will be identified or that any claim will succeed

3. Client Responsibility

Clients:

  • Can search for and claim assets for free themselves directly with relevant institutions

  • Remain solely responsible for submitting claims

  • Are responsible for providing accurate and complete information

  • Are responsible for responding to any institution requests

All decisions regarding entitlement, verification, and payment are made by the relevant institution, not by BPS.

4. No Guarantee of Outcome

We do not guarantee that:

  • Assets will be identified

  • Claims will be accepted

  • Any payment will be made

Our role is to provide research and guidance based on available records.

5. Fees

Our fees are success-based and range between 10% and 25% of the gross asset value, plus VAT.

The applicable percentage will be confirmed in writing once assets have been identified.

Fees become payable once BPS provides written confirmation that relevant assets have been identified, regardless of:

  • Whether a claim is ultimately approved

  • When or if any payment is made

All funds associated with assets are paid directly to the client by the institution.

6. No Handling of Client Money

Bridgepoint Services does not:

  • Receive funds

  • Hold client money

  • Process payments from institutions

All money flows directly between the institution and the client.

7. Consumer Rights & Cooling-Off

If you are a consumer under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing to our services.

If you request that we begin work during the cooling-off period, you may be required to pay for work completed up to the point of cancellation.

8. Data Protection

We process personal data only for the purpose of providing our services and in accordance with UK data protection law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for decisions, delays, or actions taken by third-party institutions

  • We are not liable for financial loss arising from unsuccessful claims

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us

10. Termination

Either party may terminate services in writing. Termination does not affect fees already due for work completed.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Important Disclaimer
